The first of two Friday Lates offers the chance to explore the exhibition AI: Who’s Looking After Me? until 9.30pm, and catch these special events throughout the night:

CAN WE TRUST AI?
An honest and open discussion on what trust, accuracy and bias looks like in algorithms that can neither think nor feel. Hosted by King’s PhD students Tiarna Lee and Jhanelle White.

FICTIONS OF THE FUTURE
Navigating the narratives that accompany the recent growth of AI is no easy task - from doom-mongering media reports to the utopian promises of tech giants. Discussing the mythologies surrounding this technology are: Natalie Kane, Curator of Digital Design at V&A and one half of Haunted Machines; designer, researcher and performer Amina Abbas-Nazari; and artist and digital media theorist Wesley Goatley.

ELSEWHERE IN INDIA
+ Q&A
Dazzling audiovisual performance from Indian electronica pioneers Murthovic & Thiruda. Set in a near future world where global cultures are nearing extinction, Elsewhere in India pioneers Indofuturism in world building through next-gen characters and electro-classical dance music. The 60 minute performance will be followed by a Q&A with Science Gallery London Director Siddharth Khajuria, and is accompanied by a display of behind-the-scenes material from the project.

AI ETHICS THROUGH DESIGN
See the four winning entries to AI Ethics through Design - a collaborative design brief hosted by London College of Communications, UAL in collaboration isITethical? Exchange exploring the role of art and design in AI ethics.

6.30pm - 9pm | Ground floor
AI GAMES
Can you beat an AI at its own game? Join King's AI researcher Mike Cook to learn about Puck, an AI that can design games by itself, and play some puzzle and strategy games designed by the system. You can also try out Nothing Beside Remains, a game about exploration and archaeology - part of research by PhD researcher Florence Smith Nicholls and Mike Cook that explores how generative algorithms can tell stories and create worlds.

DAYTIMERS present MICHAEL DIAMOND

Music in the café-bar comes courtesy of Michael Diamond from DAYTIMERS, the DJ collective who champion the sounds, stories and voices of South Asian creative communities.
