Skin Flick
Adham Faramawy
In Skin Flick (Invasive Species) we see bodies absorbing and interacting with chemicals such as beauty products, drugs, supplements and organic matter. The artist talks about their relationship with self-image, sexuality and gender over slick and slimy imagery, investigating ideas of gender fluidity. Looking at the non-human desires of fungi and asexual marine invertebrates, Faramawy takes a new look at human appetites and behaviours.
